Abstract

This research attempts to specify the sort of
obstacles that face the academic scientific
researcher. the research suggests some solution
for such obstacles. to accomplish this aim , a
questionnaire of (26) items is set. the items are
distributed to three fields and are constructed
according to information of relevant literature
and previous studies ( some of them are
presented in this research ). the questionnaire
is applied to a random sample of (200)
informants who are all instructors in Al-
Qadisiya university ( the total academic staff of
the university is 555 persons ). After applying the questionnaire in its final form and
analyzing the data processing them statistically
, the results show that the economical factors
are considered among the biggest obstacles
facing the academic scientific researcher. Also
the research has not shown any statistically
significant discrepancy attributed to the
variables of sex and academic title. The
research has come up with a number of
recommendations including the necessity of
increasing the reward of academic instructor
and scientific evaluated for the accomplished
or evaluated research. the research also
suggests conducting a similar study to be
applied to same other Iraqi universities.
