A Rhetorical study of Repetition in the Holy Quran

Abstract

Paronomastic repetition is one of the
important rhetorical arts of AL- Badee', but
unfortunately it has not been given its due
attention by rhetoricians on the ground that
it relates to music more them to rhetoric's.
This study is an attempt, therefore, to
investigates the rhetorical and aesthetic
potential of paronomastic repetition by
undertaking an analytical descriptive study
of it through the generative approach while
takes into consideration both the surface
and the deep structure. The Holy Quran is
taken as an example because it offers the
highest and most masterly employment of
repetition through the creation of a
repetition musical pattern while by aesthetic
and rhetorical off its.
