Problematic Terminology and its Denotation in Modern Arabic Poetry

Abstract
Literary form represents a significantmoment in the discourse because it records the
historicity of literature since the probable
history of literature is the history of forms. This
history or literary form which is produced with
its features and characteristics is subject to
censorship from institutions, activities, desires
and conflicts of powers until it gets its legality
and existence as a historical document that
reflects or expresses the history of thoughts.
Hence, comes the research to investigate
the poetic forms that appeared and were
significant in modern and temporary Arabic
poetic movement, though differently. These
forms are: poetry, prosaic poetry, poetic prose,
free verse, intensive prose and prose poem.
Moreover, the research follows up the semantic
terminology of the poetic kind and finding the
relationship between that kind, in form and
terminology, and what it becomes in steadiness
and stability as a required poetic form ; or that
such a terminology in form and kind does not
achieve what is required through the course of
modern poetry until the contemporary poetry.
The poet shows the ability of poetic form
to develop and take the appropriate space and
this is recorded by the metrical poetry. Yet,
other poetic forms were absent because they did
not achieve approximity between the kind and
effective vision of life; while other forms
remained swinging differently according to
critical and poetic vision as is represented by the
prose poem.
