Abstract

The present study investigates the role of awareness and intentionality in contemporary criticism especially as important directives of the process of reading and evaluating the text . Critical Functionality variates in terms of forms and types due to the wide range of methods employed in the critical act and what is beyond it . This ensures the critic the utmost freedom in choosing whatever method suits his approach .
