AbstractThe present study aims at investigation the effect of Van Hiele Model of geometry thinking on the outcome of first intermediate class Pupils .
The researcher used an experimental design a post - test and partial of two groups setting the for (experimental and control).
The sample of () male pupils from Mohammed AL-Baqir school at Al-Diwaniya province : ( ) in the experimental group and ( ) pupils in the control group . The tow groups were equated in terms of the variables of ( age , previous , achievement , general average , intelligence and previous knowledge in mathematics .
The experiment was applied in the second semester of the academic year –, and both groups were taught by the researcher.
The researcher build an achievement test Concepts consisting of () items, which represent items of multi choices type.
The researcher used some statistical tools , including (t-test ) for the samples independent and Alpha Cronbach Equation to calculate the Test Reliability and Cooper Equation to calculate the Correction Reliability and Difficulty Equation and Discrimination Equation the equation of effectiveness of alternatives.
The results of the research shows that pupils who have studied by Van Hiele Model of geometrize thinking were better than the pupils who have studied by the ordinary method in outcome at the level (.).
